Event Details

The Dawsonville Racers will be hosting a competition as a fundraiser for their summer league swim team. This we be an outside competition so be prepared to bring tents, chairs, coolers, and sunscreen. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated!

DATE: 5/13/17

LOCATION: Veterans Memorial Park, 186 Recreation Road, Dawsonville GA 30534

CHECK IN TIME: 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.

START TIME: 8:00 a.m.

PRICE: $90 per team (includes T-shirts)

You will be competing in same gender two person teams
(XX,YY)

1st Place in each division will be awarded Cash Prize and Division Banner

2nd and 3rd Place in each Division will be awarded Sponsor Goody Bags.

EVENT 1 & 2:

Location: Pool

Swim cap, goggles, swim suit, towel, and change of clothes are recommended.

RX
1A) 200 Yard Swim (8 Laps)

2) 8 Minutes to establish 1RM Power Cleans

1B) 200 Yard Swim (8 Laps)

SCALED/MASTERS

1A) 200 Yard Swim (8 Laps)

2) 8 Minutes to establish 1RM Power Cleans

1B) 200 Yard Swim (8 Laps)

RULES:

Laps can be split however between the two partners. - Both partners need to establish 1RM power cleans within the 8 minutes to get a combined score for workout 2. - Scoring for workout 1 is the combined swim time for 1A and 1B. - The time between the end of 1A and the beginning of workout 2 will be dependent on the last team to finish the swim for 1A.
Once the last team finishes 1A swim, a clock will be set for 1 minute to give a break in between the swim and lift.
At the end of that 1 min the 8 min clock will begin for workout
2. Once the 8 min clock times out your time will begin for workout 1B. - You are responsible for loading your bar.

ANY stroke style is allowed.

Location: Football Field

Overhead Kettle Bell Squats 53/35
Squat Cleans 95/65
Ab Mat Sit-ups 

SCALED/MASTERS:

30-20-10 
Overhead Squats 75/55
Squat Cleans 75/55
Ab Mat Sit-ups 

RULES:

- RX Overhead Kettle Bell squats will be preformed with one kettle bell and one handed. 
- Scaled and masters will preform overhead squats and squat cleans with a bar.

 

EVENT 4:

Location: Football Field

RX

(A) does 10 thrusters (95/75); tags (B)
(B) sprints to 10 yd line and back; does 10 thrusters. (B) tags (A). 
(A) sprints to 20 yd line and back; does 10 thrusters. (A) tags (B). 
(B) sprints to 30 yd line and back; does 10 thrusters. (B) tags (A). 
     (A) sprints to 40 yd line and back; does 10 thrusters.     (A) tags (B). (B) sprints to 50 yd line; does 10 thrusters then...
Both partners sprint 100 yds to the opposite end of the field for time to stop.

SCALED/MASTERS:

Workout is same as above besides thruster weight: (75/55)
- Relay suicide type format.
- Both partners need to cross the 100 yd line before time stops.

 

EVENT 5:

This workout will be announced the day of the competition! Crossfit says you always need to be ready....
